I just wrote this and tested it, it works fine. When the form is submitted you will get the IP address along with the other form fields. As long as you make this field hidden from the Webflow designer, the user will never see it. It then sets the IP address as the value of the form field that has the ID ipFormInput. In reality, there are many more that trace the email’s path from its origin to your inbox. Normally, we think of the headers as being the To:, From:, Subject:, Date:, and occasionally Cc: and Bcc: lines. This script makes a call to an external service that returns the client’s IP address. If the IP address information is available at all, it’s in what are called the headers of the email. I was searching for a script to capture the IP Address of the person who submits the Form.
